The Raft: Meaning Harvest

September 11, 2025 @ 11:00 am (BST) - September 17, 2025 @ 5:00 pm (BST)

A week-long gathering for young adults exploring meaning, resilience, and connection

In a time of mounting social, ecological, and existential uncertainty, this week-long residential event invites young adults (ages 18–35) to come together in nature to explore some of the most pressing questions of our time. How do we remain whole in a fractured world? What does it mean to live meaningfully amid collapse and possibility?

Participants will spend a week immersed in shared reflection, creative expression, and reconnection—both with the land and with each other. Through story, silence, song, and dialogue, this gathering holds space for collective inquiry into mystery and wholeness, emotional honesty, ancestral wisdom, and the imagination needed to envision futures shaped by reverence and courage.

The event is facilitated by a team of young practitioners who have each spent years engaging with the challenges and possibilities of our times. Gwyneth Jones, based in North Wales, is an accredited Work That Reconnects facilitator and coach. Jadzia Tedeschi, co-founder of The Raft and currently coordinator with the Climate Majority Project, brings experience from years spent in community living environments. Liam Bureau, who grew up in Alaska, contributes his perspective from work with the Scientific and Medical Network.

Together, they offer a space not for easy answers, but for honest presence and meaningful dialogue—rooted in both ancient traditions and contemporary needs.
