As editor of the Transpersonal Coaching Psychology Journal, I’m thrilled to announce the launch of the journal’s Fifth Volume.
Transpersonal Coaching Psychology (TCP) can be described as the theory and practice of coaching that takes a trauma-informed, holistic and integrative approach to support healing and growth. This journal provides an evidence base for the value of TCP and illustrates how it works in practice.
In his editorial introduction, senior editor Hennie Geldenhuys writes:
“There is a kind of doorway that has no door. You do not walk through it as much as you find yourself already standing inside it. You are no longer where you were, not yet where you are going. Transpersonal coaches call this the liminal space, a threshold. This fifth volume of the TCPJ journal gathers around that threshold.”
In addition to six peer-reviewed coaching case-study reports, Volume 5 includes two articles that extend the scope of coaching into a whole new dimension. These are the eight publications in Volume 5:
- Navigating chaos and persistent traumatic stress with open awareness and compassionate companionship. By Jevon Dängeli
- The porous psyche: Expanding parts work in transpersonal coaching. By Jules De Vitto
- The introduction of a transpersonal coaching model to the treatment of bipolar affective disorder. By Jeff Katzman
- Bridging the gap: Transpersonal coaching as a catalyst for parental transformation and generational healing. By Darren Langer
- The integrative potential of transpersonal coaching psychology in spiritual bypassing: An exploratory case study. By Sahaja Mascia Ellero
- Modelling ventral vagal safety using polyvagal-informed somatic work in transpersonal coaching. Rachael Baker-Searle
- Grounded fluidity: Supporting identity exploration through transpersonal coaching psychology. By Elina Viitaniemi
